Tips and trick to stay healthy and fit even without going back to the gym.

Accountability is an inside job…

Stop making excuses as to why shit’s not getting done!

We make time for what’s important and excuses for what’s not!

Hello again! Adam Theodorou here! Founder of FitStudios Health & Wellness Center, personal training specialist, strength coach and certified NO BS Lifestyle coach.

Last week I wrote about taking ownership on the status of your physical and mental health.

Far too many people these days fall victim to their circumstance and ultimately use these circumstances for excuses as to why things aren’t getting done.

Over the last year I have heard all kinds of BS!

“Gyms aren’t open, so I can’t work out regularly, that’s why I’ve gained weight”

“I’ve been working from home for more than a year now, the kid’s junk food is just there and easy to grab and eat”

“There’s just no time to fit anything else in my day”

“Cooking takes too long and makes too much mess”

“My kids are home all day, I can’t step away from them”

Listen, when it comes down to it, those are just a bunch of lame excuses as to why you’re not owning your shit and in control of your life.

Nothing in life worth doing is easy, and reality is when youchoose to do the tough and difficult tasks you end up living a much easier life.

However, the same is true for those people that consistently choose the easy path and don’t put in the work...They tend to live much tougher lives.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…

We make time for what’s important, and excuses for what’s not!

So if your physical and mental state is important to you, stop making excuses and start taking action.

Today I would like to share some of the tips and tricks we use here at FitStudios to help keep our clients healthy and fit regardless of the environment around them.

  1. Structure beats anxiety! Anxiety is caused by fear of the unknown and lack of control in your life. So start taking control by creating a routine that’s structured each day.  Plan your days out in advance, book time slots off for workout and meal preparation daily. These should be non-negotiables!  Then stick to the plan! Simply wake up each day and start checking off the boxes in your schedule and to do lists.
  1. Go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day. It sounds simple but most people not only don’t get enough sleep, they don’t get consistent sleep. Our bodies appreciate the consistency more than the quantity. If you’re feeling tired and sluggish in the mornings and throughout your day, try making a commitment to go to sleep at the same time each day for one week and see how you feel! I assure you by day 7 you will be feeling significantly more energized, rested and motivated to crush your days!
  1. Hire a coach! For most people, their time is important and they just don’t have enough of it.  A good coach can fast track your results and allow you to achieve your goals in a much shorter period of time.  Not to mention they make your workouts more efficient, more enjoyable and significantly more results driven as well.   Do you feel that working out from home isn’t good enough for you? Let one of the amazing fitness professionals here at FitStudios run you through an “at home session” I promise you’ll be amazed at how challenging and engaging these workouts can be and what kind of results you can get at home on the right program for you.
  1. Always have a backup plan! With the world being turned upside down this year due to closures and restrictions on how we live, it’s safe to say the ones that had the backup plan did better than the ones that didn’t. I can’t tell you how many times I heard someone say,

“well gyms are closed, and the online thing doesn’t really work for me”…

If all it’s going to take is a couple of small pieces of fitness equipment, then for heaven’s sake get off your ass, stop belching out excuses and go invest in some fitness equipment! For a couple hundred dollars you can get yourself all of the necessities you need to give yourself a great workout at home.

Now there’s 4 easy things anyone can do to help make sure their mental and physical well being is being better cared for.

Put yourself to the test, commit to the 4 tips for 30 days and let us know how you’re feeling after just 1 month of practicing daily structure and accountability.

Remember, no one is going to pedal your bike for you!

Now let’s go!
